HOW DO I REMOVE ANY EXCESS DIRT?
After each use, remove any dust, mud and grease with a soft brush or damp cloth. To remove stubborn dirt, use a damp sponge and neutral soap.
CAN I USE ANY CHEMICALS?
Do not use solvents, aggressive chemical cleaning products or hard-bristle brushes, as these may permanently damage the leather and plastic parts.
CAN I USE A PRESSURE CLEANER?
Do not use a washing machine or pressure cleaner to clean your boots, as high temperatures and pressures may damage certain boot components.
HOW CAN I DRY MY BOOTS?
Always dry your boots in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from direct sources of heat such as radiators, stoves or direct sunlight.
HOW CAN I KEEP THE UPPER SUPPLE?
To keep the leather uppers supple, periodically apply a neutral cream specifically formulated for leather footwear.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
HOW CAN I STORE MY BOOTS?
Do not store your boots in plastic bags or sealed containers for long periods. Store your boots in a dry, well-ventilated place to ensure that the leather remains supple, and that the boots keep their original shape. Remove any added liners and/or insoles before storing your boots for long periods. In this case, store your boots by filling them with newspaper to maintain their original shape, and make sure that all fastening devices (clips, zips, Velcro, laces) are properly closed. Store your boots in their original box.
HOW CAN I KEEP MY BOOTS FEATURING TCS® OR DFC IN TIP-TOP CONDITION?
If your boots are fitted with the TCS® or DFC systems, remember to lubricate all plastic sliding parts with silicone spray at regular intervals.
HOW CAN I KEEP MY BOOTS FITTED WITH SLIDERS IN TIP-TOP CONDITION?
If you have purchased boots fitted with sliders on the toe and possibly on the side and heel counter, remember to check these are intact on a regular basis, and replace them if necessary with appropriate spare parts.
HOW CAN I REPLACE A BROKEN BUCKLE OR STRAP ON MY BOOTS?
If you have purchased boots fitted with buckles or straps, remember to check these are intact on a regular basis, and replace them if necessary with appropriate spare parts.
THE SOLE IS WORN, CAN I REPLACE IT?
For certain off-road boot models, the sole replaceability has been envisaged, so remember to check it for wear on a regular basis and contact your reference TCX dealer for advice on how to care for/replace the sole correctly.
WARNINGS AND RESTRICTIONS ON USE
TCX® boots only provide the safety characteristics described if worn correctly and maintained in perfect condition. It is the responsibility of the user to maintain the boots properly and replace them if the soles and uppers become damaged, deformed or badly worn. It is likewise the responsibility of the user to ensure that all closing systems (Velcro, zips, laces etc.) are intact and in good working order. The boots must be fastened properly at all times to ensure that they fit the foot without restricting the manoeuvres required in the discipline to be practised. Users must always take into consideration the fact that the performance of the boots may vary and may be compromised by changes in climatic conditions such as excessive heat, cold, rain, snow and frost.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility for accidents, damage, personal injury or death deriving from improper use of the boots. Motorcycling and use of other motor vehicles, both on the track and on the road, involve a degree of risk of serious personal injury and even death. Suitable personal protective equipment should be worn at all times to reduce the level of risk involved. Our on-road and off-road motorcycling boots are fitted with safety and protection systems for the most delicate parts of the foot. Nevertheless, it must always be remembered that no device gives motorcyclists absolute protection if they lose control of their vehicle, fall or collide with other immobile objects or other vehicles. It is essential for motorcyclists to be thoroughly familiar with their motorcycle and the characteristics and limitations established by the manufacturer of the vehicle. The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any accidents, damage, injury or loss of life happened during the use of its products.
IMPERFECTIONS ON THE LEATHER
N.B.: All the uppers made using full grain leather may contain small imperfections that are naturally present on animal skins. These must not be considered as defects but rather as characteristic of the naturalness and quality of the leather used.
HOW CAN I DISPOSE MY TCX FOOTWEAR?
Generally speaking, boots are classified as dry household waste. They must be disposed of in the dedicated places and in compliance with applicable local regulations.
DOES TCX MAKE VEGAN PRODUCTS?
